In Dourchester for a Finesse meeting.  Looks like we have to write a proxy that takes traffic from Finesse, in the form of FiServ calls, and translates them into Bankesphere web service calls.  It looks like that BASS might be useful to Mike afterfall.  We've been asked to document the current state of BASS.  Trying to build BASS but I'm having issues.  Gotta build some its dependencies first: sam-common and sim-fiserv. Done. Converted them over to IDEA 9's directory format.

Here is what I know about the current state of BASS:
  • can execute jobs
  • can schedule jobs
  • only one job implementation -- escheat
  • talks to FiServ via a live SAM instance
  • code needed to remote SAM's FiServ communication objects only exposes the four messages needed to complete the escheat job
  • Ben recalls that the last test ran the esceat job against a SAM instance that was configured to talk to a test LMS instance
  • Ben was working to removing the FiServ communication code from SAM and has a working copy in source control.  The FiServ code has changed due to multiple SAM releases so the standalone FiServ is to be considered out of date.
