Finally got installers.  Going to attempt to install into the virtual machine.  Since the software is so old, running it in a virtual environment should not be a problem.  DB2 says it needs JDK 1.4.1 -- I'm sure it must be the IBM JDK and not the Sun JDK.  The DB2 Software Manager doesn't work.  It complains that either the user does not have admin privs or that the security settings are not default -- both are false.  Not sure how we are going to patch DB2 if we can't get the updater to work.  Don says that DB2 is usually not needed and the WSAD install failed because of a file copy.  I've decided to restart the installation and use snapshots along the way so I can abort portions of the install.  Okay, installing WSAD using a shared directory still fails during the creation of an uninstaller.  Next idea: unrar the rar into the VM itself and avoid any sharing issues to see if that works.  Thanks god for snapshots!  Even when inside the VM, I see the same error.  Since I've run out of ideas and the error occurs when it creates the uninstaller, I've chosen to ignore it and move on with the install.
